Are there any free plans for RC aircraft work stands? Can''https://decals.rcgroups.net/adclick.php?n=aa272b7c''https://decals.rcgroups.net/adview.php?what=width:700-950,_height:70-110,_rcgf-7-img|rcgf-adsense&source=Electric%20Plane%20Talk&n=aa272b7c''0''''s to a base.
You have a plane stand.
You can also assemble one from PVC pipe.
You can cut one out of a styrofoam cooler... just cut slots in the thing to fit the plane. this one has the added benefit of acting as a tote for some of your tools and spare parts. The parts act as weight to help keep the stand steady.
I purchased everything at Ace hardware but I''s or Home Depot as well
Going from memory so if your buying the hardware please check them against the wood for proper fit first and I can post pictures tonight if you wish for a better idea of the setup:
6 sticks 1/2" x 1/2" x 4''ll have a washer on both ends and in the middle of the wood, I have found this helps in closeing the stand.
3.) Repeat step 2 on the other 2 remaining peaces of wood, this should give you two X''t think it will close. Lay down both of the X stands down where you can see both sticks (bolt sideways in other words). Your going to get two sticks of 2'' piece of wood. This should place the screw right in the middle of the 1/2" wood for the X stand. Your going to drill the holes on all 4 corners and into the X stand, but don''ll have a hole coming out the other end and that looks sloppy.
6.) As your drilling these holes you can run the 4 of the 8 3/4" long screws so your drill holes line up.
7.) Once your done with those 2 sticks and 4 screws, flip the X stand over to the other side and grab the two remaining pieces of 2''t bother you then no problem, if it does bother you then there is a fix for it. you''s side. just drop the wing in and let it rest on the fuse. If you want pictures let me know, I''s i think i may have just what you are looking for.
