I guess it is safe to assume that the paint can handle the heat from the engine as well as the plastic cover does ?

Looks excellent Shiumai 👍👍. I ordered the red engine cover with my car, I am wondering if the cover is put on by the dealer? and can it be painted once on the engine, or would it be too difficult?

John - it is a pity we aren''t think that the enamel paint would have a problem. We''t neighbors for sure, John!

KOPBET - well, the cover itself is painted, and lined with what looks like regular foam, so I don''ll find out though.

George369 - The cover is easy to remove and install (from what everyone has indicated). I think that it would be next to impossible to paint it once on the engine, so definitely take it off to do it.

        Got it, will do,
        Thanks Shiumai

If you have a high wing, I would suggest you put the new engine cover on before the high wing is installed. It is a piece of cake to do it without a high wing; if you already have a high wing, it can done fairly easily if done by two folks, one standing on the side of each fender. As to its weight, about the same as two dozen eggs so that is not an issue, and its four attaching bolts are right there on top, very easy to access.

Good point about it having regular and thin foam underneath so heat will not be an issue.

I did do some corrections a couple of times; going back over places where my hand wasn''d just wait for it to dry and try to correct it the next day until I was satisfied. LOL, I completely know what you mean, regarding your hand not cooperating with your brain.
